Step 1:  ( The girl in these pictures is Taylor, 5 years old and 37lbs)  Start them out holding on to the Boom bar.  This way it is very easy for them to get up and get the feel of skiing.   Also using the boom bar you are only a couple of feet from them,  so they aren't as afraid, and you can talk to them and instruct them on what to do.  You are only going approx. 6 mph.
